Magical Academy: Rise of the Supreme Magic Craftsman

Chapter 99 - Origin ( Part 2 )

Wallace opened his eyes after being startled by a beeping sound coming from somewhere.

He looked around and noticed that he was inside the familiar spacecraft. Yes, the luxury corvette-class spaceship he used to descend on this planet, he named it Avalon, same with the A.I. operating the ship itself.

"T-this..." He felt a bit emotional after reaching this place. Although only several months had passed, it felt forever just to reach this goal of his.

He felt a bit numb and checked his body but found nothing new on it. He was probably lying down for quite a while now numbing his arm.

And most important, it seems that he was still possessing the same Wallace\'s body of this planet.

"Haaa~" Wallace took a deep breath as he remembered the events after the Cube of Paradox appeared in the empty space a while ago. After the Cube moved towards him, he felt coldness wrap over his body then felt his soul was being sucked inside the Cube.

Of course, he felt scared being trapped inside the Cube but luckily, it didn\'t last long. As soon as he felt the suction force, the Pathfinder inside his body moved out instead.

The bluish light of the Cube was bright and the \'Pathfinder\' that came out of his body was a darker and stronger color of blue light as it merged with the Cube.

After all of it happened within the empty space, the merged Cube and Pathfinder shattered to a tiny piece of broken glass before it surrounded Wallace. He saw his previous body telling something but he couldn\'t hear it. It was as if the body was telling his last goodbye to Wallace.

Soon, the surrounding pieces of glass that were made of light turned to his body and seeped through his skin.

He felt pain all over his body as if he was being tortured. He never knew that it would be like this to complete his mission.

\'I would never trust this Pathfinder!\' He could only say deep in his mind.

The mission tells him to \'retrieve\' the Cube and never did he knew that it would be this painful process. But he couldn\'t really complain that much as he was still in the middle of experiencing the pain it brought. He could only grit his teeth and wait for its completion. Unfortunately, he didn\'t think that it would take more than 5 minutes and still not finished! His mind could no longer hold out and was about to lose his consciousness. It must be remembered that his body had already gone through several enhancements.

When he had consumed the rewards being given by the Pathfinder, he was always experiencing extreme pain and would naturally enhance his body. Not including the body strengthening potion he had consumed that had obviously enhanced his body further. Aside from that, he was always keeping his physical body in healthy and strong conditions as he does routines to keep his body at its peak.

But even if that was the case, he was about to succumb to the pain of this merging with the Cube and Pathfinder. He\'d really be mad if this didn\'t reward him in plenty.

He wasn\'t exactly sure how long did it pass before he woke up but now that he regained his consciousness, thanks to the beeping sound that actually came from the Pathfinder or Cube that merged within his body.

After he tried communicating with the Pathfinder, his brain was jolted by acute pain. It seems some information was filling up his brain. He actually got nervous that it would be the same torturous experience, but luckily, the pain was bearable with his pain resistance accumulated due to his body being battered by the Pathfinder.

"So my soul was really incomplete..."

After his mind received all the information coming from the Cube of Paradox, he clearly understood what happened when he descended here.

"Whew~ So almost three decades had passed? But based on what the guard said, the place was only taken over by their organization for over two decades. It seems that this place wasn\'t discovered immediately." Wallace said after contemplating a bit.

He tried looking into his memories about the past events. Apparently, as he descended on this planet, the Mana coming from this world had drowned him to death. His body wasn\'t suited for this world. It was something that his armor could not defend against.

Luckily, as soon as the Cube arrived on this planet, the Artificial Intelligence completely awakened and recognized the closest person to be his master. It quickly pulled his soul and contained it within the Cube.

But since it had just woken up, it doesn\'t have enough power to bring him to life.

So the Artificial Intelligence made arrangements that took several years to find a suitable body to place a part of his soul. Yes, some part of his soul remained in this Cube for a reason.

He sorted as well some other important information he noticed.

First of all, there were several Cubes of Paradox that contains an artificial intelligence that would normally be used to help or accompany a young descendant from an Ancient Mayan Royal Clan in his journey until the end of his life. Wallace does not have an idea where this Clan is. But these Cubes were definitely made by an Advanced Civilization that was not human.

Second, it already contains a lot of mystical materials and was always creating new mystical materials as long as it had enough energy. Apparently, it had a mystical space where artificial intelligence works in creating the materials that the user would probably need. It could also scan its surrounding environment and get as much information it could just to help the user. Unfortunately, due to the arrangement made by its creators, he couldn\'t just receive those items but had to work hard to attain them. The missions and rewards were there to help the user grow.

Third, the Cube can still be destroyed or become useless...

Wallace was interrupted in his thoughts upon seeing the notification of the Pathfinder.

[ Mission: Retrieve the Cube of Paradox  ]

[ In Progress... ]

[ The cube contains a lot of power that the user\'s body was not capable of immediately retrieving. ]

[ Time left before retrieving was completed: 21:56:78 ]

"About 22 hours more." Wallace muttered upon seeing the progress.

"So that was why I\'m feeling a bit stuffy. The retrieval was still not finished." Wallace scratched his head as he stood up and observe the surroundings.

The bio armor suit was still in a safe place. The Mech Frame was still there.

"I hope it\'s not rusted there." Wallace commented upon seeing the single stuffed Mech Frame stored in the spaceship.

He walked to the pilot seat and tried powering up the ship but he noticed a notification showing in front of the screen.

"Last Cycle Completed"

He remembered that for him to be transported to unknown coordinates in space, the activation of the Last Cycle protocol was triggered.

Wallace was still unable to comprehend some of the events that have occurred. First of all, about him being sent away with that protocol, Wallace would like to ask if his father was aware that the Last Cycle would actually bring him here? Also if his mother, who was researching this Cube, aware of the circumstances, or is it just a coincidence and was really looking for a source of energy?

Wallace sighed as he tried to have a look outside the spaceship to check the situation.

Yumi together with some strong members of the Lucent Force infiltrated the island being protected by Chalice.

"Owl, Eagle... I\'ll leave that unusual peak Adept with you." Yumi instructed. There were a total of 6 people that have infiltrated this island and had different goals. The other three were tasked to cause diversion during their operation.

"Leave it to us, focus on finding that kid." Eagle replied and smiled at Yumi. But she couldn\'t really see him as his face was covered by a black helmet. Everyone was wearing armor that hides their identity except Yumi.

During the days that had passed, Yumi found traces of Wallace arriving on this island so their team was sure that he was still somewhere here.

"Alright, let\'s begin."
